WFR High School Senior Night

WOW! What a night at Wake Forest Rolesville High school last Friday was. It was Senior Night and the guys were playing for the CAP7 Championship against a very talented Leesville Road team. Our team player very well and won in Grand Style. Congratulations Champs.

We produced some beautiful Posters for the Senior Men and Senior Cheer Students and they were a big hit. Everything is posted online at our regular website address under High School Seniors>Proofing & Ordering>Click Here for Events.

Here is a sample poster we made for all the seniors on the team.

Cool Part of the Job

I really need to keep this blogging thing up a bit more. Lot's of things going on. Last night I had a cool assignment from a friend who couldn't do it because he was moving.

I photographed a gala event for the Kay Hagen campaign in Raleigh.

In addition to her, the Governor and Mrs Easley showed up and the guest of honor was no less than Hillary Clinton. Regardless of what your political views are, it was a pretty cool gig to photograph and to meet all these people in person. Hillary was amazing and talked to everyone and posed for pictures with everyone.

Getting to go to these kinds of events is a really cool part of my job.

LOTS OF CHANGES

Well here it is in late July and boy is it HOT!

Change is a funny thing and we are experiencing a lot of it here at the studio. Ivey had her baby Caroline Margart a week ago. We will photograph her tomorrow. 8lbs. 1oz. and almost 21in. Momma and baby are doing great! Daddy isn't doing too well. He now has two beautiful women in the house and has already been bitten by the Daddy/Daughter bug. So as an experienced dad of two girls, I know HE IS TOAST!

We all went to the hospital to see them and no one brought a camera, DUH!

What were we thinkin'. Anyway I will post some pictures of them in the next few days.

High school seniors are starting to dominate the schedule this month. We are designing some fun new marketing pieces and offers for use in the near future. We will send those out to existing customers by email newsletter which will start next month.

NEW WEBSITE RUNNING

Well here we go! We are off to a great start with the new site and it took longer to do than I ever thought it would. We have had an amazing month so far with Race for the cure, Brian Welsch has started as our new graduate hire. He comes to us from IUP in Pensylvania with a degree in Studio Art. Ivey will be leaving us soon to have her baby Caroline Margaret. July 18 is the date but we all think it will sooner. Race for the Cure® went well with 13 photographers taking well over 9,000 pictures. It was my last year leading the crew but I will continue to contribute as a staff volunteer. Although final number are not in, I think we will meet our goals of over $2 million raised with almost 25,000 participants. Check out the race start photo. People were still crossing the start line 37 minutes after the gun went off.

I will try to keep up the blog and share info about goings on and sales/specials as well as Caroline Margaret.
